The future is HERE, are you ready?

Hi, I’m Tom Meyers – practising osteopath (D.O., MSc. Ost), Fitfull Futures Explorer, founder and international instructor of  The Reaset Approach, and author of Futurize Yourself and The Futures Effect.

For nearly 20 years, I have worked hands-on with people whose bodies and minds are struggling to keep up with the pressures of modern life. In my clinical practice, I see how rapid change, uncertainty, and chronic stress affect health, wellbeing, resilience, and performance – not only in individuals, but also across workplaces, teams, and organisations.

My keynote talks explore one of the defining yet often overlooked challenges of our time: the growing conflict between biology and culture. As technology advances, work accelerates, and the future becomes more unpredictable, human beings are expected to adapt at a pace our evolutionary wiring was never designed for. The result is a rising burden of stress-related symptoms, fatigue, dysregulation, disconnection, and reduced capacity to flourish.

Through a unique combination of health expertise, clinical insight, and futures thinking, I help audiences understand the human cost of rapid change – and, more importantly, how to respond to it. My talks are engaging, practical, and future-focused, offering fresh insights into resilience, adaptive wellbeing, and what it really means to become fit for the future.

Because the real question is no longer only what the future will bring.
It is whether we are preparing ourselves well enough – physically, mentally, and socially – to meet it.

Looking for a keynote that goes beyond the usual future-of-work or wellbeing narrative?

THE FUTURE AND I

Work once helped us survive. Then it helped us define who we are.
Now, as technology transforms work and risks making much of it effortless, it becomes our business to put more effort into evolving ourselves if we want to flourish and thrive.

This keynote is especially relevant for conferences, leadership events, innovation summits, wellbeing programmes, and future-focused organisations seeking a speaker who can connect the future of technology, work, and society with the human realities of stress, health, and sustainable performance.

Rather than simply warning about the pace of change, Tom gives audiences a bigger framework for understanding what is happening — and a more constructive way forward. He challenges leaders and organisations to think beyond short-term optimisation and asks a deeper question: what kind of future are we helping to create, and does it support human flourishing?

The result is a keynote that is intellectually engaging, emotionally resonant, and highly relevant to today’s business and societal landscape. Audiences leave with fresh insight, strong reflection points, and a powerful call to build a more human-centred future — on purpose.

Why book this keynote:

  • A distinctive keynote at the intersection of health, futures thinking, leadership, and human performance
  • Highly relevant for audiences navigating rapid change, AI disruption, uncertainty, and rising stress
  • Combines visionary thinking with practical human relevance
  • Offers a fresh perspective beyond standard wellbeing or future-of-work talks
  • Engaging, reflective, and thought-provoking, with clear take-home value
  • Especially suited to leadership audiences, founders, HR, innovation teams, educators, policymakers, and future-focused organisations

Audience members will gain:

  • A clearer understanding of why so many people struggle to keep up in today’s fast-changing world
  • Insight into the growing conflict between biology and culture and why it matters for health, wellbeing, and performance
  • A powerful framework for thinking about adaptation, resilience, and future-readiness in more human terms
  • A renewed sense of responsibility for shaping a future that supports human flourishing
  • Practical reflection points for organisations, teams, and leaders who want to remain effective without losing the human centre
Tom Meyers was born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1970. Initially trained as a chef, he spent several years travelling the world, working as a waiter in hotels across England and aboard Cunard’s flagship, the Queen Elizabeth 2. After eight years, Tom returned to Belgium and, at the age of 29, was prompted to start his own business—a gourmet deli in Mechelen. However, the venture quickly failed, leading him into an existential crisis that nearly caused him to give up on life. Through three transformative steps, which he now calls “Futurizing Y’ourself,” Tom overcame his limiting beliefs and evolved into the person he was meant to be.

Today, Tom is an osteopath and body-centred stress coach with a private practice in Brussels. He is also the founder and international instructor of "The Reaset Approach," a hands-on therapeutic methodology and treatment modality that brings manual therapists into the 21st century. As an accomplished author, Tom has significantly contributed to the emerging field of personal futures development with works like “Futurize Yourself” and “The Futures Effect.” These works offer valuable guidance and strategies to help individuals flourish in a fast-changing and challenging world—in body, mind, and spirit.

Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience, Tom is recognised by his peers as an Evolutionary Wellbeing and Body-Centred Stress Expert. In this role, he helps organisations build resilient, high-performing, and future-fit teams through inspirational talks that explore the impact of stress on health and wellbeing from both an evolutionary, body-centred and futures perspective. With his multilayered approach he inspires individuals within teams to manage stress more effectively by fostering a deeper understanding of how an evolutionary mismatches undermines physical and mental health, cognition, performance, and overall wellbeing—and what needs to be done to change the tide, futurize oneself, and create the stability through change needed to flourish and thrive in the future. By integrating these insights, Tom supports the development of a healthier, more adaptive workforce, equipped to succeed in today’s dynamic and challenging world.

Tom's journey from struggling entrepreneur to thought leader in manual therapy, evolutionary wellbeing, and personal futures is a powerful example of resilience in action. His life and work inspires organisations and their teams to overcome challenges, embrace growth, flourish and thrive in body, mind, and spirit in today’s fast-changing and challenging times.
